Friday 27th February

Visual Language

Last week Oscar chose this photograph

because he likes the beach.

Jade chose this picture because she's been to Golden Bay.

Some children from the 'Clever Crocodiles shared their photographs today.
Ted said that this photo reminds him of his Uncle, who drives for Shotover Jet. " He drove me on my birthday.  It was so close to the rocks", remarked Ted.

Elias talked about a five hour hike, and a lighthouse where there are lots of birds.  His favourite birds are the wood pigeon and the pukeko.

This photo makes Jack think of Australia.
" My Mum's sister lives there", he said.

STATISTICS

The children gathered data about how everyone travelled to school today.  They then turned it into a graph in their maths books.  Afterwards we looked at how we can put our data on a computer programme and print it off.

Check out the programme we used:

Creating a Graph on the Computer

Our goal:
By the end of this term, do an investigation of our choice in a group and turn our data into a graph on the computer.
