We enjoyed a delicious Greek feast of: halloumi cheese, carrots and hummus, wraps and yoghurt with fruit. Some of us were very adventurous and tried some new things like olives, red onion and feta cheese.

| What do you think Ted is thinking? |

| Maybe Maggie is trying to swallow her wrap in one bite! |
Thank you to parents for providing $1.00 so that Mrs Culling could buy the ingredients. Also a big thank you to Dom's Mum for the carrots and hummus and to Harriet's Mum for making the yoghurt. We tried plain Greek yoghurt and honey flavoured yoghurt. The honey one was a clear favourite!
We decided that Greek people eat yummy food!
Kosta is helping to teach the class interesting facts about Greece. Thanks so much Kosta.
Some people were able to answer Mrs Culling's research question about 'Why do Greek people smash plates at a wedding or funeral?'

| The wraps were a big winner with everyone. |
 |
| Kate doesn't appear to like olives! |
 |
| Oscar approves of the yoghurt. |
 |
| Dom's trying the honey flavoured yoghurt now. |
We also learnt that a
fter giving a compliment, Greeks make a puff of breath through pursed lips, as if spitting. This is meant to protect the person receiving the compliment from the “evil eye". Room 10 children have such lovely manners - poor Mrs Culling was doing a lot of huffing and puffing today!
What a treat having such yummy food Room 10 plus it's all very healthy too!
